Jesus established the Catholic church upon the Apostle Peter, whom he appointed as the visible head and first pope, citing passages like Matthew 16:18 ("You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church").

The Catholic Church has The Real Presence in the Eucharist

• As a Catholic you receive the actual body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ during Holy Communion. (only a catholic who is in the state of grace can receive holy communion)
• This sacrament acts as the center and highest point of the spiritual journey.

Unbroken Historical Authority

• The Church traces its direct origins back to Jesus Christ and Saint Peter in the first century.
• Apostolic succession maintains an unbroken line of leadership through the papacy.
• The Magisterium provides clear moral teaching and doctrinal guidance. 

The Seven Sacraments

• Visible rituals like baptism, reconciliation, and confirmation dispense literal grace from God.
• These sacred moments accompany a person through every major stage of life.

I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,

was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;

from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
